I’m Prema Buitrago—anthropologist, trauma-informed facilitator, and guide in sacred transformation work. For over 20 years, I’ve supported individuals through life’s profound thresholds: grief, awakening, identity shifts, and ancestral reclamation.
My approach weaves academic training with lived spiritual practice—combining my Master’s in Anthropology and field work with trauma survivors with deep immersion in Eastern contemplative traditions and somatic healing.
I create spaces that are structured enough to feel safe and open enough for real transformation to happen. You don’t need to become someone new—you simply need to come home to the one you’ve always been.

Do I need to have trauma or a specific crisis to benefit from this work?
Not at all. This work is for anyone seeking deeper self-understanding, whether you’re navigating a major transition, feeling stuck in emotional patterns, or simply sensing there’s more authenticity and strength available to you. Many clients come during times of growth and expansion, not just crisis.
How is ancestral/family systems work relevant to my personal healing?
Much of what we carry—emotional patterns, survival strategies, even physical tension—often originates in our family lineage. By addressing these inherited patterns with compassion and clarity, we can free ourselves from repeating cycles that aren’t truly ours, creating space for our authentic self to emerge.
What can I expect during a session or ceremony?
Each experience is tailored to what’s alive for you in the moment. Sessions typically involve somatic awareness, breathwork, gentle inquiry, and sometimes ritual elements. The pace is always respectful of your nervous system, and you’re never pushed beyond what feels safe and authentic.
How do I know if I'm ready for this level of inner work?
If you’re drawn to this work, that’s often a sign you’re ready. Readiness isn’t about having everything figured out—it’s about being willing to meet yourself with honesty and compassion. We always start where you are and move at a pace that honors your process.
Is this work done online or in-person?
Both options are available. Private sessions can be conducted online or in-person in select cities. Ceremonies and group work are offered both virtually and in-person, depending on the specific offering and your location. The depth and effectiveness of the work translates beautifully to online formats.
